Ministries
Women
Bethlehem United Methodist Church’s women’s ministry is geared toward providing women of all ages the opportunity to have fellowship, to study God’s Word together, and to have a mentoring relationship with another woman. We hope that your spiritual life will be refreshed as you find warm Christian fellowship with other women, and as you learn about, experience, and serve God in a fresh new way. Monday evenings, 7:00-9:00 pm
Wednesday mornings, 9:15-11:30 am (child care provided)
Our 21-week study of the fruit of the Holy Sprit, Beth Moore’s Living Beyond Yourself wraps up in February. Please join us for our Spring 2012 study, If God is in Control, Why Am I a Basket Case? Extraordinary Choices for a Joy-Filled Life by Debbie Taylor Williams. This 8-week DVD-based study of the book of Colossians explores topics such as anger, forgiveness, temptations, relationships, and family responsibilities. Fresh, practical advice guides women to turn basket-case moments into extraordinary moments that glorify Christ. Cost for this study is $10.00, which includes the workbook. Classes begin Wednesday, February 29 or Monday, March 5. Register and purchase workbooks at the Welcome Table in Agan Hall on Sunday mornings or email .
Fellowship Breakfasts
Periodically, we gather for a Saturday morning breakfast featuring an inspirational speaker. This is a great time to meet new people and catch up with old friends. Guests are always welcome. We encourage women to bring their friends as these are great outreach opportunities. Our annual Christmas Breakfast is on of the highlights of the year ... plan to join us in December, 2012!
Retreats
A weekend Women’s Retreat is held each spring. Retreat leaders are women in established ministry, beyond our local church. This is a chance to draw closer to God through the teaching, to have a time of quiet prayer, to observe the beauty of God’s creation, and to eat meals that you did not have to prepare!
We are excited to announce that the 2012 Spring Retreat will be held April 13-15 at the oceanfront Golden Inn in Avalon, NJ. Mary Soler, an Interdenominational Christian speaker, Christian radio host, and Bible Study director and leader from Thousand Oaks, California will be our speaker. All women are wleome! Cost for the weekend ranges from $139-$339 depending on your choice of accommodations, and includes two nights lodging, two buffet breakfasts, and Saturday dinner. Registration forms and more information are available at the welcome table in Agan Hall, or email . Please note that full paymnet is due by Sunday March 4, 2012.
