
The Wonderful Absurdity of God’s Kingdom
When Isaiah, speaking for the LORD, proclaimed, “My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways” (55:8), he wasn’t just kidding! The values and priorities reflected in our modern society and secular culture are quite different from God’s; and this is often so because God is so much more radical than we want to be or think we can handle. And yet, there is something tremendously appealing and exciting about how the LORD goes about His Kingdom work.
